History has never been so fun. . . or so fast! The historical meets the hysterical in this fun theatrical opportunity. Flying through the major points of America’s quest for independence, this fast-and-loose comedy plays like a highlight reel of history in hilarious fashion! We will both laugh and learn as patriots such as George Washington, Paul Revere, Samuel and John Adams, Patrick Henry, and Benjamin Franklin battle the vain King George III and his British soldiers. From the Boston Tea Party to the Battle of Bunker Hill (did you know it was really Breed Hill?!), to the crossing of the Delaware and onward to the British surrender at Yorktown, students will receive valuable training in the performing arts. A full scale production will be shared on the afternoon of July 3. Under the expert guidance of MAHC’s Children’s Theater director Dawn Kolden, students will become part of a theatrical team, allowing them to exercise their skills in following directions, being self-sufficient, working with others, and monitoring their behavior. Dawn is a gifted director and teacher, holding a masters degree in teaching.
